My name is Jess and I live in Glasgow with my husband Dave and our toddler son Eli who we weaned using the baby led weaning method (and continue to feed along the same lines now he’s an occasionally-picky toddler). We’ve also got three lovely chickens who provide us all the eggs we need and a shy but cute cat called Basil.
As well as blogging, I’m a stay at home mum who likes to spend my time gardening, knitting, going to the ballet with friends and reading everything I can get my hands on. I’m really interested in money-saving and minimalism (well as interested as you can be with a toddler in your house!) and I occasionally blog about frugal cooking, minimalism and eco-friendly living at Chilli Sage and Lemon.
I love to write about baby led weaning (BLW) and feeding toddlers because food and cooking are so important to me and I really wanted to share this love with my child, while setting him up for a lifetime of enjoying nourishing food and mealtimes. I’m fascinated by how our early experiences with food and our parents’ attitudes towards mealtimes can influence what kind of eater we become later in life.
Getting started with weaning can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be a stressful time. Click here to find out why I love BLW, or here for some advice on getting started. Or just browse through the blog archives for lots more info 🙂
